Visitors to Ngatarawa can enjoy acclaimed wine in
the historic racing stables built at the end of the
19th century. We are also renowned for hospitality
and heritage in a timeless environment.
Ngatarawa is internationally acclaimed for its Chardonnay,
Merlot-based reds, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah and dessert
wine. And we’re one of New Zealand’s most
picturesque wineries set in expansive grounds with
a grand lily pond, sweeping panoramic views and big
sky. A great spot for a picnic sipping award winning
wine under the trees.
Established in 1981, Ngatarawa is the key pioneer
of the Bridge Pa Triangle west of Hastings. It honours
the many nuances of its rich heritage symbolized in
the horses head. This includes the 100 year winemaking
heritage of the Corban family in New Zealand (today’s
owners), and also the contribution of the Glazebrook
family as founding partners and the illustrious horse
racing history of the vineyard property.
